Workshop 3
Using PRP in the Laryngology Clinic
Clinical indications, procedures and lessons learnt so far
SPONSORED BY - LifeHealthcare
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is emerging as a promising tool in laryngology, offering a regenerative, minimally invasive option for patients with vocal fold scarring, atrophy, sulcus, and other conditions that have historically been difficult to treat. As interest in this technique grows, so does the need for practical, evidence-informed guidance on how to use it safely and effectively.
This workshop is designed for laryngologists and ENT surgeons who want to bring PRP into their clinical practice. Drawing on real-world experience, the session will cover patient selection and clinical indications, preparation and injection techniques, and the practical lessons learned from early adopters navigating this evolving field.
Participants will leave with an understanding of the current evidence base, an appreciation of the procedural nuances involved in laryngeal and vocal fold injections, and practical insights to help avoid common pitfalls when introducing PRP into their own practice.
